TECHNICAL, Caitlin Clark Hits Defender’s Face After Arm Grab | Indiana Fever vs Minnesota Lynx WNBA

The Indiana Fever and the Minnesota Lynx are playing a tightly contested WNBA game on Sunday.

The teams have proven to be evenly matched through nearly three quarters; which is surprising, considering the Lynx’s best player Napheesa Collier isn’t playing in the game due to injury.

But Fever rookie Caitlin Clark has had a frustrating performance to this point. In 26 minutes played, Clark has just 7 points on 1 of 7 shooting.

Although the rookie’s frustration just got the better of her in the game.

Clark just received a technical foul for a poking an opponent in the eye while dribbling down the court in the third quarter.

After Clark was grabbed and fouled during her dribble, she flailed her arm out and seemed to poke Lynx guard Cecilia Zandalasini in the eye.

Because a common foul was called on Zandalasini, play was stopped. Which gave referees an opportunity to review the play.

After a brief review, the referees seemed what Clark did a “hostile act”, and therefore called a technical foul.

Clark was shown on the broadcast after the technical foul was issued, appearing frustrated about the decision.

Time will tell whether Clark can rebound from the foul
