Simone Biles had a startling response when asked if she would participate in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics

Simone Biles offered a cryptic response when asked whether Paris 2024 will be the last Olympics of her career.

The 27-year-old, who was already the world’s most decorated gymnast before heading to her third Olympic Games, has won all three women’s titles that have been up for grabs in the City of Love over the past week.

Clearly still at the top of her game, Biles didn’t rule out the possibility of competing at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

‘Never say never,’ Biles told reporters on Saturday.

‘The next Olympics is at home, so you just never know,’ she went on.

‘But I am getting really old,’ she joked.

It comes three years after it looked like Biles’ gymnastics career was all but over after she was forced to withdraw from the Tokyo Games to protect her mental health.

Suffering with the ‘twisties’ – a type of mental block where gymnasts get disoriented during their gravity-defying sequences – Biles took a two-year break from the sport.

Now that she is back, she is once again the dominant force in gymnastics.

Following her success in the team and all around finals earlier this week, the Texas native was the standout performer on the vault as she beat Brazilian rival Rebeca Andrade with an average score of 15.300 points.

‘Simone is from another world but we always try to get better and evolve in the best way possible,’ Andrade told reporters.

Biles narrowly edged out the Brazilian athlete to add another medal to her growing collection

‘To be able to watch her incredible gymnastics, it encourages everyone.’

Biles and Andrade sweetly embraced during the vault finals, after the American admitted the 25-year-old Brazilian was her biggest rival.

‘I’m excited and proud to compete with [Andrade], but I don’t like it no more,’ Biles joked during a press conference, revealing she was forced to ‘bring out the big guns.’

‘I mean, I’m getting uncomfortable, guys. I don’t like that feeling. I was stressing,’ she went on.

‘I don’t want to compete with Rebeca no more. I’m tired. She’s way too close. I’ve never had an athlete that close, so it definitely put me on my toes and it brought up the best athlete in myself.’

Biles is expected to add to her medal tally when she competes in the balance beam and women’s floor finals on Monday.
