The severity of her injuries required the medical team to sedate her in order to perform a CT scan, an unusual level of therapy in her experience.

Amber, who was only two years old, had her whole life ahead of her despite her fragile condition and acute malnutrition, which spoke eloquently of her previous suffering.

She was sedated every day for approximately five days while committed professionals worked tirelessly to give her a new chance at life.

Amber now has a repaired face and new nasal passages thanks to her tireless dedication, although the swelling acts as a reminder of her tragedy.

Her charming personality remained intact, a monument to her strength in the face of tragedy.

Amber showed tremendous courage and love despite her struggles as she healed and faced the obstacles of heartworm treatment and spaying.

He enjoyed the fun after a hearty dinner and finally snuggled into his blanket for a blissful rest.

Today, in the warm sunshine, she went for a walk around her new neighborhood with her new siblings, Jack and Alice, clear evidence that she had found comfort and security in her new home.
