Caitlin Clark Reveals Persistent Health Issue That Bothered Her Vs. Mercury

Indiana Fever Caitlin Clark is a major headache for WNBA defenses, but she’s also dealing with that case – literally.

Ahead of Tuesday night’s road game against the Las Vegas Aces, Clark talked about the migraine that bothered her in last Sunday’s game versus the Phoenix Mercury. It’s something that she’s been managing for several years now, though, she also implied that the high of playing basketball and competition helps her deal with migraine.

“Adrenaline is a lot of it for me, once the game stops, that’s when I really feel it,” Clark said (h/t Chloe Peterson of the Indianapolis Star).

“It’s hard, but honestly, I’ve suffered from them since I was a very young kid, so I found a way to manage it and still go about my business.”

Nevertheless, Clark continues to thrive in her first year in the WNBA. So far in the 2024 season, she is averaging 16.0 points, 7.1 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game. She’s still got a long way to go to reach her full potential in the pros, but there seems to be nothing that would discourage her from trying to become an even bigger star than what she already is today – not even a migraine.
