Angel Reese Made a Post After Losing to Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever

On Friday night, Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky were defeated on their home court by Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever, 100-81. The Sky have lost five straight games but still hold the final spot in the WNBA playoffs thanks to the Atlanta Dream losing to the Las Vegas Aces, 83-72, on Friday.

Reese had a relatively underwhelming game. She recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, but she also had four turnovers and five personal fouls.

Shortly after the contest ended, the former LSU Tigers star took to social media to make a late-night post. She quoted an advertisement for the movie “Wicked” that featured her walking on the yellow brick road, which is from the film, and playing basketball.

Reese used four emojis to caption her post: a wizard, a magic wand, a clapperboard and a theater mask.

“There’s a lot of noise out there,” Reese said in the commercial. “It can surround you, pull at you and weigh you down. But I’ve got other plans. … Defy gravity. Rise above the noise. Nothing’s going to bring me down.

“Wicked” comes out in theaters on Nov. 22. It is a film adaptation of the popular Broadway musical and is expected to be released in two parts.

Reese and the Sky (11-20) will be back in action on Sunday (Sept. 1) against Minnesota Lynx (23-9), who are third in the overall WNBA standings. The Sky are looking for their first win since Aug. 17.
